Hello my name is Kimberly and I am looking forward to IS101! Initially, I was nervous due to not being well versed in technology, especially in a professional setting but after meeting the professor I feel a lot more confident due to him explaining that he will help us every step of the way and he wants to see us succeed! It was also very helpful that he reached out to all us before class started to set up a web meeting. This is the first time I've had a professor reach out like that which was very reassuring and definitely made my nerves go away. I'm looking forward to this class!

I was very nervous also taking IS 101 for the second time. But I do feel more confident now that I have had WebEx meetings, when I feel completely stuck on something. With Mr. Wu reassuring me to just keep moving forward and helping me out along the way. I have gotten further than I ever have in this class. This has boosted my confidence even more, that I am improving everyday. I just need to not give up on myself!

ReplyDeleteIt is very nice and helpful that Mr. Wu has been so accommodating and helpful to every last one of us. He seems like a professor who actually cares about getting his students to pass. Hi Kimberly! I am also thankful that Professor Wu reached out to me before college started. I had a WebEx meeting with him recently and he helped me polished my works.
ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly! "The hardest part is getting started." I love that quote, and I believe it's very true. The way IS101's curriculum is mapped out is awesome. The labs require you to apply what you learned in each section. I appreciate that about this class. I hope you're getting more comfortable and I wish you the best this semester.

Hello Kimberly, I totally agree with everything you said almost took the words right out of my, mouth as I had the same thoughts and experience not only with the IS101, but with Professor Wu as well.

ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly, I believe it is totally understandable to be nervous when experiencing something new. Technology in particular can be overwhelming when being introduced to it. With Professor Wu's guidance, you will be well versed by the end of the semester.

ReplyDeleteHi Kimberly, I also agree I was a bit nervous about starting this course. In high school I took a computer class and it was mostly about coding. I did not enjoy that class and part of me thought IS-101 would be similar. Professor Wu has been very helpful!
